VIII) 5 REIKI RULES

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL NOT WORRY

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL NOT BE ANGRY

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL DO MY WORK HONESTLY

JUST FOR TODAY, I WILL BE GRATEFUL FOR MY MANY BLESSINGS

JUST FOR TODAY, I HONOR ALL MY ELDERS AND TEACHERS

It is believed that Mikao Usui was very inspired by the Emperor Meiji, and that these 5 principles are derived from the Emperors writings.

IX) SYMBOLS AND THEIR MEANING

The symbols are sacred and secret, they are transcendental and act like dimensional portals for Reiki to flow through. They are thousands of years old, some of them shamanic, Tibetan, or of Sanskrit origin.

They should always be kept confidential, out of respect for their sacredness and their power and also for the maintaining of their purity.

Only when attuned to Reiki II can you use them. There is no point in showing them to anyone. When a reiki II  practitioner uses them they automatically work, powered by intent. They have been simplified over the years and are nowadays also composed of Japanese characters, kanji. It is important to remember that everything is powered by intent, so if you are missing a line, or not completely accurate with the symbol, it still works! At some point, you just use your intent and you do not need the symbols anymore, however, in the beginning, they are like training wheels on a bike.

How to Use the Symbols: Draw them in the palms of your hand, in the air or on the body of the patient, you can project them mentally and /or silently repeat their name. Or when you begin working with them you may want to speak them out loud, if you are practicing alone.

HOMEWORK:

Please practice drawing the symbols, we will go through them and I will ask you to show me your drawings at our initiation meeting.

HON SHA ZE SHO NEN: The distance symbol

To send through space you can beam the energy to another person in the same space, or at the other end of the world. You can also send reiki to the future or the past. You can send it towards a period of time, even as much as a week, and it will smoothen things. I like to do that before fashion week, or before traveling. It could also be sent before getting surgery, having an exam, or a job interview.

How to use the distance healing symbol

Establish a link with the receiver / situation etc by either visualizing him or her or the event, writing the name on a piece of paper, or use a photo.

Draw  HSZSN in the air, repeat it silently, or out loud, three times then lower it to become horizontal in front of you like a bridge.

Draw SKR and SHK and send them over the “bridge”. Send as long as you feel guided to.

When sending in the future or past, just imagine a clock/ date in front of you. It works.
